Today we traveled from the Detroit River, across Lake Erie, to Sandusky, Ohio. It was a warm sunny day with very light winds so we motored all day. There was a strong southbound current and almost no waves that allowed us to cover 74 miles in 9 hours. Scenes of the day.
A casino on the Windsor, Ontario side of the Detroit River.
The Ambassador Bridge that crosses between Detroit, USA and Windsor, Ont. Canada.
Downtown Detroit, with the 7:45 am sun shinning brightly on the windows of the sky scrappers of Detroit.
The Detroit River has a northbound and south bound channel that leads out to Lake Erie. We followed the southbound channel which had large buoys that lead out to the Detroit Light. The channel appears man made as it was very straight, but we saw many beautiful trees and bird life along the edges of the channel.
After crossing Lake Erie, we approached Sandusky Harbor, with Cedar Point amusement park along the shoreline.

Well you have now returned back to the harbor from where you first sailed the Jabberwocky, that was two years ago. Hope your sail to Buffalo is uneventful.
