Atlantic Highlands, NJ 17 September 2008

We spent Tuesday in Osterbay, New York. It was a very beautiful and quiet anchorage. The mansions on the clifts were the suburban homes of the eastern shore of Long Island Sound. On Wednesday morning we left the harbor at 7 a.m and headed down the east shore and east river of Long Island then passed New York City-with the great sky line including the Empire State Building, the Chrystler Building, the United Nations and Brooklyn Bridge and then the Statue of Liberty in the distance. We then traveled along Ambrose Light Channel out of NYC to Sandy
Hook, New Jersey.
